Continuing the legacy of Joseph H.Pilates

PILATES AOYAMA, a fully equipped studio in the classical style was founded by Maki Okazaki.
She is a second generation teacher, who studied with two legendary teachers Romana Kryzanowska and Lolita San Miguel and is also greatly influenced by another legendary teacher Kathy Grant.(Three of them were the students of Joseph H.Pilates!)
In order to formulate safe and achievable goals, Maki Okazaki will design a program for each person considering their age, sex,health condition, general fitness level.

WHAT IS PILATES?

Pilates is an exercise system developed by Joseph H. Pilates (1883-1967) to strengthen core muscles, correct alignment,increase flexibility and improve overall health. Exercises are performed on a mat and on various unique pieces of equipment Joseph H.Pilates designed.
Anyone can start this unique form of exercise regardless of age, sex and fitness background. The ongoing sessions with Maki Okazaki will ease stiff bodies, help recovery from injury, or provide post pregnancy rehabilitation. Pilates also enhances athletic performance in a variety of sports, including golf, tennis, skiing, running, dance.
After ten sessions, you will notice the difference in body awareness and strength. And you will find out that Pilates is not just fitness but this Mind-Body-Spirit Exercise will have positive effects on every aspect of our LIVES!
